iGO Primo Issues/Tweaks/Systxt thread

I have followed a few links trying to find Primo, but all are dead ends. Am I missing something? I have been thinking of updating, but I can't find a good link.

Yes, I tried it a couple times, both times it just gave me the folder on the download, and there was nothing in the folder about 40MB out of 600+. This was on both the Primo and the maps. Today, after you sending me there, both worked, the maps took me a couple tries, but now both are downloaded and I just tested it. Seems to be OK. I will need to play with it a little bit to make it to my liking.

What great support all of you give, hopefully I will be able to contribute as I learn.

Good to hear! And im glad you guys are getting Primo all sorted out, Im glad I have somewhere to send guys now when they start asking about it.

Anyone capable of making us some 3d car models for primo.

In my case it would be nice to have a red M3 shown on the screen.

Would it not be possible to take the 3d cars from some of the latest video games like Need for speed and convert them to work for Primo. I have no idea how this would work but maybe someone out there does...im just donating the idea. The cars are already made if it were just as easy as copy and paste

Anyone had any success using Darkoz download and UK maps.

Just ordered a new card, and read this entire post.

Im guessing I just need to change the map pack, but noticed someone had a problem with changing the language or something.

I tested Dakorz iGO Primo last night for shits and giggles and everything worked flawlessly. Not sure which I like better. Primo is simpler and easier to read somewhat, but iGO8 def. seems to have more options and features.

I am using Darkoz's setup also. It is working fine with US maps. However I have not seen any buildings or landmarks. Does anyone else have these features working for US? Is there a special setting in sys.txt for these or maybe a license file is needed?

Oh, by the way, I do see DEM graphics if I zoom out. I can see the mountains here in AZ.

I'm using the Navteq maps - Q2 full Europe. IIRC, they're better than teleatlas. I just downloaded and used the UK bits.

No problems at all.

All: Been using the Gurjon (2.16) skin just recently. I can highly recommend it. Very customisable too.

Do you just drop the Navteq downloads in the maps folder?

Yes, just copy the map files to the content/map folder

What's the easiest way to add favourites, without actually being there?

I can see all kinds of buildings on my drive to work (Washington DC). I'm actually thinking of turning off buildings, because it seems to slow down the framerate.

I don't remember exactly where I got the building file - just downloaded it and dropped it into the buildings folder under Primo.

I'll try navigating to Washington DC to see if I see any buildings there. Do you have Darkoz's setup from earlier in this thread?

Guys, the 3D building files are included in the Primo upload

Buildings are pretty cool, but for those of us who live in Colorado you should see what Primo does with the Topo of the mountains and foothills. Amazing! - When I am in the foothills west of Denver in the evening it even shows the city lights of Denver down below. Can't wait for the next version with Sat imaging.
