OEM electric fan question...can you separate the fan?

If you have an electric fan (like the one that comes with a MT), can you separate the fan from the fan shroud?

My shroud is damaged but the fan works fine. I've got some zipties holding securely but I would feel much better if I could replace the shroud.

Since the shroud it what's holding the fan to the radiator you'd have to replace the damaged shroud with a good one. Since that's not a separately available part you might as well just replace the entire fan assembly.
