How do you clean the rims now? Scrub or just spray thoroughly?

can i use plastidip on my interior trim like the plastic door handles its all cracked. could i just spray them with plastidip and all will be well or do i have to sand it first then primer and all that.

E46's are timeless, but E30's are classic!

Yea you can, I've been meaning to do it for a while now, I'm just too lazy to take apart my trim

Does it matter If you have wheel balancing weights? Id imagine it wouldn't make much difference if you sprayed over them....

nah its negligible for wheel balance weights.

get spray its matte black so minor brake dust you wont even see them.

I found this thread and figured its worth a shot, my rims were badly eaten away from the salt, the chrome lip was in really bad shape, all of my rims overall were really in need of either replacement or powder coating (which i could get done by $300 from a friend of a friend).

Here are a couple pics for now, it got dark so more will come tomorrow.

Thanks to OP easy DIY, some patience, and $15 bucks, my rims have been revived.

Went to home depot two days ago and they had both a spray can version ad well as a dipping version. Looks just like the picture in the OP

I have chrome and I would like to switch to black for awhile. After say 6 months will I lose any look to my chrome or would it preserve it in a way. Or do I tape all the chrome and spray onto the tape?
