This is so awesome!!! So this replaces the entire diff right? no just the internals?

Also since all the ratios are the same price, what do you guys think is an ideal ratio for a 6mt?

Pretty sure this is just for the LSD "guts" and not a complete final drive. You would still need to budget for having this built into a donor diff with whatever final drive ratio you want. You'll need to consult with a dealer to confirm.

Complicated, no. But it is a bit of an art so I would only trust the job to someone who builds diffs on a regular basis.

It's not hard. Just gotta take ur time. Alot of trial and error to get the right backlash, preload/load on Bearings and correct wear pattern on the gear set. If you have the right tools. It's easy as pie.

I use to change out ford and Chevy ring and pinion plus shim the gears which included jacking the car removal of wheels etc... then back on the road within 2 hours. It's not that complicated if i can do it trust me. LOL Just have to have all the right parts. I would go from 4.10s to 3.73s depending on where i would be going. It's probably more simple with a BMW because you take the whole diff out and can work on a table where i was doing this in a parking lot with a car jack and stands.

^ that is correct but the tolerance on the BMW is much much tighter then the ford, jeep and chevy. Since, the diff is not under the car. You will need a case spreader. Won't be able to use a crowbar to pry out the diff. If not done correctly it will destroy a Ring and Pinion and Bearings. I have installed Eaton, ARB, Lincoln Welded, and Qualife LSD/Lockers.

Need some competition and volume in this business.

I do have a case spreader dial gauges to set up an install. Installed a few TrueTracs in 8.8 diffs, they were $400!!

Has anyone ordered one of these?

no case spreader necessary, these come apart, can be assembled in-diff, or that's the kaaz at least. This looks like it can too.

wait, it says lifetime!?!! does this not have clutches in it?

Are you sure you don't need a Case Spreader? Maybe you lucked out? or was it snug enough to lightly pry out with a prybar? I haven't open a 330i diff yet but if u say I don't need a case spreader. I will add one to mine

Nope, These use Gears no Clutches. Geared LSDs are more dependent on the torque and not on the speed difference between the output shafts Such differentials may not be adequate on extremely slippery surfaces such as ice.

IIRC: instead of 'clutches', they call the interlocking lobe faces 'cams'. I dunno about lifetime- I'd guess it depends on how often the cams are called into action- it's essentially a Quaife in the meantime though. But hey the warranty is lifetime so that's good
