Doug, as usual, thx for your words of wisdom. After reading BITOG.com there's no way I'd use 15w50!

IMHO what BITOG is saying is that 0w-20 is the optimum oil. However, I'll stick with what meets the BMW standard (GC 0w-30 in the winter and maybe M1 0w-40 in the summer if the GC isn't available).
