03 330XI front end shakes when I give it gas but ONLY sometimes??

I would honestly recommend just replacing the axle if you are doing it yourself. it will cost you a few more bucks but it will save you a lot of time and headaches... plus i believe if the axle is clicking at all, it is shot and you need a new axle. just adding grease wont help at this point...

It looks like a few fanatics have had success repacking the grease.

I'm with you though- I'd just replace the whole thing for under $100 a pop.

i just bought left and right front drive axles. i removed them saw black style oil all around the wheel wall. Anyway i installed both of them and now the left side I when I give it gas(sometimes) the whole front end will wobble and shake at low rpm's but the shake will go away over 3000rpm. It will shake and wobble but when I let go of the gas pedal, it goes away and then when I give it gas its fine.
i was reading about greasing them which i didn't do.
do i need to grease the drive axles?
if so which parts do I grease.
also what type of grease should i use?

You don't have to grease anything if you installed new axle assemblies.

Did you tighten the axle nuts? Those bastards need to be tight.

Did you make sure the diff fluid level was good? Some can spill out.

Most importantly, did you buy chinese axles? Where did you get them?

My inner CV boots were in good shape, but there was no grease inside them, as though it evaporated!
Removed, cleaned properly, repacked grease & installed, I have done at least 10k klm since with NO problems since
I definitely say it's worth a shot depending how long the axles have been dry.

I regrease mine and have solve the problem..no more vibation
