Brake Pad Light

Hello Everyone,

my brake pad light came on saturday but i dont notice anything wrong with brakes. What should be my first step of action? or should i wait? if i should replace now, what brand/model would you recommend? nothing too pricey.

Check the pads to verify the signal is not due to a broken wire. If the pads are thin and you ignore it, the next noise you hear will be metal on metal! Then check to see if the disks also need to be replaced. I use Axxis Metal Master pads from Turner. But, there are many opinions here as to the best pads to use.

Once you check your pads ok chances are its the sensor.
