The wheels/tires made the biggest difference, espeially coming from the stock 205/55-16 Contis, so that's usually what I do first.

Thanks, those are actually 17s. Guess the big lip makes them look bigger. Your car looks clean in the pic, wheels and suspension would make a huge difference in both looks and performance. Now I noticed that some of the people who've done suspension first already have 17" wheels on their car, but when you have 16s I definitely think they are the weakest link (especially with narrow 205s) and should go first.

yeah my only debacle is this job situation,if i get this job that im expecting to hear from then im gunna buy an M by spring so it all depends what happens haha part of me wants to just keep the Xi also tho so if i do im definitely doing the wheels and supsension and an MtechII if you know anyone that wants to sell theirs ha

I would not go with coilovers unless you have money to burn. Don't get me wrong, they are better than just getting lowering springs and shocks/struts.

But is it worth it on an "old" car like ours? Unless you plan to track her, I would personally rather spend that extra money on good tires; see Kubica's comment.

Finally got an opportunity today, to snap some pictures of my XI, showing it from the side, lowered on H&R
(it was frikkin cold, and I forgot to clean the lens on my cameraphone. but picture is clear enough to show how much lower it is)
I'm still considering changing the spring pad in the back, to a thinner one and get a little better drop, to even it out...

anyone know if you can put oem sport suspension on an x drive?

I would say suspension first

I have the DWS on 18in wheels, and I couldn't be happier, great grip in any conditions
