My Ride: 04 330i ZHP imola
Help! is it possible to put an e46 m3 differential in a 330i zhp?

if it is possible to put an m3 e46 differential in my 330i zhp what should i expect to pay all in and how much labor would this be? thanks!

My Ride: 2005 M3 Coupe
You need to swap in the entire rear subframe. Looking at probably $1500-2000 in parts. Honestly don't know about labor

My Ride: BMW
took me an hour to do a 3.38 diff, included having to swap the output flanges, however the input flange was the same

done at my buddy's shop, car up on the lift... best performance mod for the money, cost me $100

why would you want to put in an 3.46, if you have a zhp its a 3.64!

Auto zhps had 3.64, manual had 3.07

3.38's come out of automatic 330's non-zhp, non-lsd of course

The output flanges on my 2.93 had the 6 evenly spread out "bolt holes" for the axel to be bolted to.

The 3.38 had 6 threads as well, however they weren't even all around, it was more like 2 at twelve o'clock, 2 at 4 o'clock, and 2 at 8 o'clock.

Think of a 6 spoke rim in comparison to a 3 split spoke rim
