I do not like to see collectible cars treated like that. The paint is in bad shape and the interior is rough. The car is worth a lot in pristine shape, but it will take a lot to bring it back.

An aggressive starting bid of $8500 for a 1987 car that is showing the wear of those years and 133,000 miles.

Yea, I think the seller is banking on the serial number to attract a bid from a collector who'd be looking to invest in restoring it...
Honestly, that car could be a whole lot worse though.
