Painting Over Plastidip
I was wondering if any of you guys know if you can paint over plastidip? my wheels are powdercoated black and im kinda sick of them, but dont want to sand them down and permanently change them.
My plan is to plastidip them first and then paint over it as a temporary color change, so i can change it up when i want and not destroy the powdercoat underneath. You guys think it will work? or just chip and flake off...

A lot of people plastidip their wheels, I don't know about real paint on top however. Be the first to try it.

I was at a meet last week talking about plasti-dip and one of the guys was talking about this exact thing. He said hes done it before. Its a good way to figure out if you want to go with that color. If you dont like it you can just take it off. It acts as a removable base coat

Yes, you can paint over them.
Do a GOOGLE search and type in ~ 'Plasti Dip on rims'. Here is one of the link: http://www.chicagoz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28076 NOTE: Other forum communities has been using them since 2008.
