Exclamation NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ - how to search forum

So let us say you want to figure something about about the might think posting a new thread would be the best idea to get the result you are after. WRONG

Chances are, someone, much like yourself, has wondered the same thing and started a similar thread before. So before you post a new thread, run a search, using the site's search feature.

But sometimes, a basic search just isn't enough...possibly yielded too many results. So it's time to narrow it down, to hone in on the results you are after. It is time to run an Advanced seach.

Unlike a Basic Search, an Advanced Search can be much more specific and possibly yield the results you are looking for, quicker.

You might want to start of with a Keyword, or a series of Keywords.

Or perhaps you know someone that posted what you are looking for, to narrow the results even further, enter their User/Screen Name (for example, mine is "Deafboy")

And perhaps you know that the results you are looking for happened within the past week or two, maybe you might want to put time constraints on the search.

And perhaps you know which forum/subforum it was posted in, simply select the forum/subforum to narrow the results even further.

Now it is time to determine how you want your results to be shown, would you like the results sorted by relevancy or date? Would you like the results shown in posts or threads? Simply chose whichever you prefer.

Once you have all the fields filled out to your liking, hit the "Search Now" button and let the site do its thing.

Results will briefly show up...

Now browse through the results to see if you can find an answer to what you were looking for.

If after multiple searches you still cant find quite what you are looking for...then maybe it is alright for you to post a new Thread. Remember, the search function is your friend.

Happy Searching
