Engine Light on, loosing power
My engine light keep coming on and off. When the light is off car run smooth no cold starts. But when the light comes on the car looses acceleration and when i try to turn the car on, it doesnt start on the first tried, it will start on the 2nd try. Any ideas what this could be.... The car runs perfectly fine until the engine light come on, i mean it runs well it just doesnt accelerate fast like it normally does. it will gradually gain speed, but when the light is off the car accelerate at fast pace. I dont know what more details to give..thats all i know

I'm interested to know what your problem ends up being. I have something similar that gives me o2 sensor adaptation and control limit errors on both banks. I'm pretty sure both o2 sensors aren't bad, so the problem must be on the intake side.
I don't know if it's too much air or fuel, but I assume it's too much air since there's a control limit code. I changed the intake boots, MAF and have a throttle body gasket to put on. The CEL went from constant to intermittent when I upgraded to the performance intake recently. That increases airflow, so I don't know anymore if the issue is an air leak. But I'm still operating under that assumption. PEACE. |

This. Pointless to discuss until you know the codes.
