Show your VERT subwoofer set up!

So iv been looking up ideas for a trunk set up and a lot i see are coupes or sedans and only a few verts(most have ski pass sub setup) Lets see what you have!

Here's mine

I have one JL Audio 10W3 behind the amps and took out the stock subwoofer and put a metal mesh in that spot so you can see the sub through the seat, or leave the center piece in. I think it sounds the same.

Takes up a little space but gives out plenty of Bass....

ebay...$230. 10 inch powered Bazooka subwoofer (100w-2ohm) I hooked mine straight up to the HK woofer speaker leads, ran the power lines... Sounds great...

Not the prettiest setup but at the time i was i had no money and my brother let me have all this.
.this is how it always rides but i moved the sound deadening mats under my amp so it wont look messy.

That is the link I used to build the frame. You would need to use those links for the DIY for the frame, then the BSW installation instructions for how to remove the factory HK sub, and then install the frame.

I used to make and sell frames for those who wanted to save time or didn't have the means to make their own but I sold out and haven't had time to make any more yet

i was originally going to set up my sub that way but wasn't shire how it would sound, do you have a video of what the sound is like because im beginning to hate the fact that almost nothing fits in my trunk

Thats why I chose a ski pass set up. We already have no room in the trunk.

I don't have any video of it but it sounds great and can be as intense as you want it to be. I have mine connected to a 500W RMS Alpine amp with only about 1/2 the gain. This way it won't rattle the trunk lid too bad and is a solid thump that doesn't overpower my music. I won't win any bass competitions but in the car its impressive.

i had my setup the same as yours for about 3 months but i found there just wasn't enough bass, so i made a sealed box which has made the L7 really boom with out rattling the panels! id get a photo if the car wasn't sitting broken at the shop

A sealed box with an L7? I had that originally and it rattled those plastic panels under the car. I went with the Rockford fosgate t1 10" and a ported box so I could hit all the low notes and have DEEP bass. Add an EPICENTER(with bass knob) to the Ski pass setup so you can adjust the bass as you drive since kickers aren't the best at low notes

yeah i dont get any rattles dont know why lol, one day ill redo it as i want an SQ sub in there and i hardly use the boot would rather a sick boot build

I don't use mine either but sometimes I like a trunk. I started out wanting to do a SQ setup and all I did was buy a jl500/1 amp and ended up using that in my Camaro instead since the SQ In the BMW was pretty good.

Did you you unhook the stock subwoofer, or leave it running, too?

Any additional info on how you connected this?

Looks easy and awesome! I don't need a bass-thumping machine, but a little extra push would be great.

The HK woofer is still active. I just used the speaker leads from the Hk woofer, ran them to the input to the Bazooka tube, then ran remote/constant power lines, adjusted the output of the Bazooka to my liking and that was it. Make sure you get the 2ohm 100watt 10 inch unit so it will run within the impedance of the HK system. This will fill your low end needs. I ran the constant power line to the battery and the remote lead to an ignition controlled fuse link in the fusebox via a fuse jumper. So when I want to listen to the radio without the car running, the Bazooka tube wont turn on and drain the battery...

Let me ask you a question, Does this Hit nice? Im looking for Good solid bass. This seems to look like it fits perfect. Also are you running off of the factory amp or do you have a after market amp?
