Glass replacement?

03 325ci vert, passenger rear glass needs work. rubber moulding is torn and getting worse everytime the window goes up and down, I either need to repace just the rubber or replace the glass window. Which one is easier/cheaper and any DIY notes on how to perform either task? Thanks!

wow i thought I was the only one...i tried ordering the rubber from Tischer BMW online, but i ended up ordering the metal part instead. I gave up and went to the local dealer who wanted $500 to change the whole window, they said it was easier to change the window than replace the rubber moulding. I went on ebay and bought a used window for $45 bucks....with the moulding and all! Your best bet is a used window from eBay.

I think I will take your recommendation and change the whole window once I get one, how difficult was it, I don't mind doing DIY stuff, but looking for procedures, how long did it take and any surprises along the way, any adjustments? Anyone have anything to add? Thanks for the reply.
