That guy did such a thorough and top notch job. I would sell my car for that in a heartbeat.

Edit: Andy, you and your dad should buy that car instead of an e36.

Dude, I would love to, but Im not sure if its what were looking for. Thats a really nicely put together car and we would just rip it apart really, like all that stereo and most of that interior would be taken out.

Ill still show it to him. Its got an S50, so it can still be supercharged

Now THAT'S what i'm talking about.

disgusting hack job frankenstein e30 vs a beautiful, poised, blown showpiece.

EPIC.

When i'm driving that e30 down the road, I want people to stare and wonder WTF that thing is.

I want it to scare people. Hahahaha.

And i'm gonna take the Roundel off the hood and replace it with this:

Car runs great. Shift lights are kinda cool. It's hard to explain what the difference is, up top the car just never stops pulling and in 2nd I have to be way lighter on the throttle. Normally when shifting from 1st to 2nd I would get a tiny bit of wheel spin but now I just spin until I ease of the gas. Can't wait to get on the dyno.

Did the DME tune somehow enable this, or did you have something else installed?

I can do a rolling 2nd gear burnout sometimes with a hard 1-2 shift, but with only one wheel, I suspect, and with cold tires.

It seems our experiences with ECU tunes are similar. Hard to explain the difference, but definitely running better.

The SMG models have shift lights built into the cluster, this tune enabled them on my 6 speed.

Andy - yeah, I can tell that the car is faster but it's not like its drastic. Just feels stronger all throughout the rpm band.

Most noticeable change on my car was the throttle mapping. I went between oem and shark a couple times. Oem was clearly more "touchy" and the shark was more "numb". On initial change, I would rather the sporty oem, but the sharks really is better for throttle modulation at cruising speed.

Also, when letting off the throttle in 2nd and 3rd gear, the shark is much "smoother" to let off the gas and begin engine braking. With the oem maps the little jerk was very noticeable to passengers, now its nearly transparent if not completely.

I feel ya. I wont know for sure how good the tune is until I get on track again but on the street I cant find anything wrong with it. With the free flow exhaut the car runs much smoother. Throttle is perfect, I hate the twitchy oem throttle it sucks on track. I'm just looking forward to seeing the dyno and most of all see where I pick up time on the track. I may run my 19's with street tires next track day just so I can compare.

Apparently after the credits there is a cameo scene and the rock is going after a car theif that looks alot like Michelle rodrigez ZOMG!!! talk about milking a plot!!!! This franchise will never end! I can believe production is already approved for a sixth film, the 5th was definitely better than the 4th though
