When my headlights are on, and i turn on the fogs the high beam indicator doesnt light up but when i headlights and fogs are both off and I turn the fogs on the high beam indicator comes on. Do you all have the same problem? I have a harness also, when i'll install it i'll post the results.

it's because the fogs are not made for HID at all. but yes, it's isolated to the fogs only. doesn't matter if the headlights are on or off.

depending on how cheap/crappy the relay is, you might need a diode to keep power from going back. i'm guessing this might be a problem for those of you that installed the harness (correctly anyways) and are still having a problem. either that, or the damage to the lcm/lsz is too bad for the harness to help.

I put in the wiring harness from DDM and plugged both male ends to the ballasts and only one female end to the factory wiring. My electric surge when turning on the lights is GONE. It really did make a world of a difference.

I didn't think this would cause any problem. I guess I need to buy the harness but, now where do I install this? do I install in behind the fog HID kit that I currently have installed? or does it go somewhere else?

another quick question. I have one of my low beam ballast(p46) out for about 2 weeks now. I am looking for the new set instead of just purchasing replacement ballast.
But I just realized that my angel eye went out. I checked my fuse and it was blown. Replaced it, and it blowed again.
So I replaced with higher Amps fuse, and only one side of the angel eye came one (where I have good ballast).

Does low beam ballast have any relation to the angel eyes on p46s? I have no idea why only one side of angel eye is working. I have had p46s for about 2 yrs now...

the one I bought had the instructions:
Installation

Connect #4 and #5 to HID ballast

Connect #1 to battery positive

Connect #2 and #3 to ground

Connect #6 to stock harness or the wiring from the HID bulb and then to stock harness

Some harnesses vary but it's like this

Power
Ground
Two male plugs to ballast
One female to ONE factory wire, if the harness comes with an extra just tape it off

That's it

sounds like you have a short in the system. probably from the bad side of the angel eyes. most likely the inverter. do not replace the fuse with a higher one. defeats the purpose of a fuse if you do that lol

the angel eyes should not be connected to the ballast for xenons in anyway, unless you or whoever installed it somehow made it that way.

all you would need is a new inverter, unless you want a whole new set of angel eyes? if you do decide on new angels, i would disconnect everything and make sure the xenons are fine then continue on with the install.

This would make sense if I was working in the headlight.. but this is Fog light that we are talking about.. how would you connect it to battery?
