vehicle: 2002 325ci sport suspension
ok, so i received the koni str.t front struts. removed the the front strut. then, i removed the spring from the strut. compared the stock "sport" strut and the koni strut side by side. the koni has about a 3-4 inch higher difference in height from bottom to the very top where the nut attaches. i thought maybe cuz the strut wasn't attached it would be different... wrong!!! so i installed the koni strut to the stock "sport" springs. checked out how it looked like and it seems the springs aren't even compressed. yes, i installed the the strut and spring back on correctly. anybody have this same problem on there sport suspension e46? if so, did the ride height look the same or lower when you installed it on the car? any help would be appreciated. |

You need to measure the strut bodies not the piston and body.
