Aftermarket Convertible Wind Deflectors

I've heard about them, but never seen one, till now.

That's what's available in co.uk. This is what I found in the states:

Looks like a POS joke! I found all the links here:

I'm still looking for one that's a little more OEM. I've also got someone pricing one from the dealership. I'm going with BMW's if those are the only other options

I would not spend any money on the acrylic one. Now, the folding mesh looks interesting, but I wouldn't do it just to save money; it's too easy to find deals on used OEM to tolerate an aftermarket product.

On the other hand, the OEM E46 model is actually six screens that fold together, so getting a two-piece would be a cleaner look. You just couldn't store it in the trunk.

Got mine locally on Craigslist used for like $150. OEM. They can be hard to come by, but they do occasionally appear.

That plastic one does look like a POS. The UK model ain't so bad.

RacelandUSA has a product called "WindBlokker." They told me they would consider an E46 model if they had enough interest.

got one on eBay. Was hard to find one that was not too expensive, especially as we head towards summer. Hold out for a used one or expect to pay a stealer close to $400 depending on taxes, shipping, etc.
Stay off the sidewalk... I am coming to town!

The other thing to consider is that the OEM one installs by closing the top recess lid over part of it, making it much harder to steal. I'd be wary of any aftermarket solution here in general, pony up for the real thing and it will be something you can negotiate with should you ever sell the car.

Try this one I found on Amazon.com and it's the lowest price for a new one I've seen.
It has the legs that sit under the rear lid so that it can't be stolen and it has a storage bag. The brackets are adjustable so you can store it in the trunk as well.
