Suspension recommendations for vert

Took out my 2001 vert yesterday for the first time this year and noticed how much rougher the ride was compared to my 2003 330i. Felt like I could tell the difference between driving over a quarter compared to a dime.

Anyone replaced the suspension (shocks, struts, springs etc) on their vert and what do you recommend and where did you get the parts? I think there are a few parts that differ from the non-vert? Is there a kit available? The control arms are new so I'm not looking to replace them.

Being in Canada it's hard to get bimmer parts at a reasonable price but I'll be in South Carolina in a couple of weeks and could get the parts shipped there and bring them home to install.

I just replaced my struts and shocks with Koni Yellow's, only been a week, but seem real nice. My springs were replaced last year when I bought the car. They are on sale right now 20% off, $548 from Tire Rack plus shipping. Picked up in the States.

Are you looking for aftermarket replacement? I like my Tein SS-P coilovers.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking for either OEM or aftermarket. I Saw a kit offered by ECS Tuning but I wasn't sure if it fit the vert.

$499 shipped

Seems like a great deal even if I don't need the control arms. Anyone know if this fits the vert? I think the rear mounts might be different.

I have ordered stuff from ECS and it has always been real nice products and service. That seems like a great price.

I would phone to see if the struts would fit the your vert, just to make sure. You probably would be able to reuse your rear shock mount, if you don't have a lot of miles. A lot of the hard top guys upgrade to the better vert mounts.

If you go with that package you could sell the control arms up here and re-coupe some of your cost.
