Seriously though, they look great. It's a shame they will be so well hidden once installed. I'll see if I can post some updated pics this weekend.

It's really amazing that a ceramic coating only 0.015" thick can really make a significant insulating difference. Cost for the coating was $275 plus return shipping.
You can paint the Swain White Lightning coating. I checked with Swain about this several years ago, and they basically said "have at it!".

Yep, you can paint over the coating with any high temp paint color you like. I probably won't bother as they're pretty much invisible once installed. I actually like the white which is why it's too bad they're hidden behind the heat shield built into the gasket (which I plan to try to retain if at all possible).

Mine was $195 (silver inside and outside) and no shipping because they were close by.

Give me a shout if you need a hand installing them. If you haven't already, buy new studs/nuts.

Just curious if anyone has ever heard or used these guys before? TRUCKPARTSHUB.COM
They have this Magnaflow 49758 listed for $548.46 shipped. Just seems too good to be true.
I called them to verify the part number and picture and they said it was correct and they were the lowest in the country. lol

Yeah, there scamming you if they didn't mention you also need the REAR section PN #49759, for the same price. Total $1096.92

The question of the day is does this "DIRECT-FIT CATALYTIC CONVERTER
PART# 49760" fit in the center section of the Magnaflow PN #16533. The catback system that so many of us bought into on the group buy, a year & a half ago ? If it does we could easily just swap this cat section in at the time of state inspection. Quick & easy, and then just pull it back out.

It doesn't. Thats why I called. He didn't speak too good of engrish. But he did say it was complete. Maybe there was a small communication barrier.

OK, just had a talk with "Dave" a tech at Magnaflow, he said that PN #49760 would be a direct fit for anyone using the Magnaflow catback PN #16533.
He informed me that he needed to talk with his engineers about it actually working for are needs. His two concerns were, 1) Are the to new cats in the #49760 to far down stream to be effective? 2) Is the concentration of precious metals the same or as high as they are in the "header cats" that Magnaflow makes.

Depends on what you mean by effective. If we're talking about not getting CELs, then based on the overwhelming lack of success of people attempting to run cats anywhere downstream of the stock location, I'm going to go out on a limb and declare the answer to (1) to be a big fat no.

I ran cats downstream successfully, no SES

There are far more failures than successes. You got lucky.

This is the problem, One NO / One YES.

I should here back from Magnaflow by mid next week. When the time comes (Emission test), I still may give this a try because of the simplicity of swapping it in & out.

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to dyno mine BEFOREHAND as it lost compression. So, the dyno will only show the after HP. Hoping for the dyno in a couple of weeks after the rebuild.

Has anyone installed these yet??? I am VERY interested in hearing feedback and seeing some before and after numbers, although I doubt the gains will be that impressive....

Well, it is taking a really long time but the motor with the header/cats are installed - no fitting problems so far - and the rest of the exhaust should line up okay. More updates later.

Good to hear. I was looking things over last weekend and I'm a little curious about how easily accessible the pre-cat O2s are going to be given the different angle at which they mount in these headers. It's also going to be interesting to see if I can still manage to retain the factory heat shields when installing these with the motor still in the car.
