Year later...they are still really great. I wish they came in the correct size for my Outback. Dry handling is fine for an xi... I have not been able to loose the tailend on dry road (probably not trying hard enough).

I dont know that these are track tires... I think you would wear these out pretty fast. I would buy a cheap dry tire for autox/track and have these for normal driving... or get yourself an old e36 for the track!

little late now but I vote for the Potenza. I put a set on the GFs Olds Intrigue last year and they dominated the snow. Just put them on my XI, So we will see how they do this winter with the all wheel.

I run stock size 205/50/17 Michelin XIce in the winter on my 17x7 style 98 rims.

and after much deliberation, went for the 215/50/17 Hankook Ventus V12's for summers. So far, great fitment on a stock xi suspension. Speedo now reads correctly since it was conservative before. Great tire too, sticks well and sidewall doesn't roll very much.
