custom sub box for 3 series, cheap!

i have a custom build sub box that fits 10" x 2. it was built for my M3 but should fit any 3 seris. i am selling because i am redoing the system. i initially paid 450 labor and parts to build it and would like to sell it for 100 OBO. local pick up only. my car will be at Automotive Entertainment in Santa Monica next week for install. you can pick it up there. thanks.


the photo shown has an extra board in front of the sub box to secure it. you can have that board also. but the box itself is also carpeted.

dibs... but first... can i have some more pics of how it looks uninstalled after you have it removed? also, is the board in front gonna be xtra?

the board in the front is free. however, it may not fit your car perfectly since the it extends into the floor. so pending on the depth of your floor, it may need to be cut.

the box it self is fully carpeted in balck (same color as the board). it is almost as wide as that board but not as high. it's a perfect rectangle in the front. but the back for the box is at an angle which matches the back of the seat (M3) perfectly.

i don't have any pics without the board, since the shop had installed it by the time i arrive. anyway, if you are local, welcome to come check it out.

are you able to get to a spare with the thing all installed? i see that you had a pretty elaborate amp installation in place but i won't and i'd like to be able to get to my spare if at all possible. can you give me exact dimentions of the faceplate part so i have an idea of whether it'll need some cutting or not. it looks like ur trunk is the same as mine cuz mine has that rounded left side as well. thanks

What's the internal volume of the box? Is it sealed?

it won't fit 12s because it was built based on the volume needed for 10inches. yes it's sealed. i am not sure the actual volume is!!

jcz04b--- the face plate wil lfit yours, but you have to build another board that will cover the spare tire. but i am not sure how to ship this thing and may not be possible.

Do you know the external dimensions? How heavy is it? You can try a freight company to ship. Or Fedex but they'll be expensive.

Can you ask the person who built it? Whoever buys it probably need to know the volume unless they are using the same speaker.

JCz04 Bimmer...I know you got dibs. You still want that clear lens? I'll just give the whole thing to you, you do the swap and ship it back to me. If you break it, you owe me $2000!!! Just pm me if you want to do that.

hmmm... i called the shop (mac car in walnut) and the guy who built it is not working there no more and they don't seem to have the answer on the volume.

i really don't think shipping is worth the effort.

since i will likely donate this to the shop (automotive entertainment) to trade for some stupid items, let's just say i will sell it to anyone who think they can use it for $80........ and can come pick it up.

that is fine, but it might be hard to pick it up from vancouver.....

might be making a trip down on Feb. 16th and 17th for my spring break. Spring break in Canada is just hurting so might as well make the trip down and catch some sun down there.
