Anyone have one of these strut bars?
Hi everyone,
came across this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.ca/BMW-E46-320-323-3...item230d863203 does it make a difference it's only 2 point? good thing is this is a solid bar. Any suggestions on a bar around the 100-120 budget? Thanks, |

I dont like it, looks tacky and cheap.
Source a used OEM M3 bar if you're on a tight budget.

Find an M3 bar, or BMW performance one. They are actually engineered to work, not some guy making some metal slabs that connect the towers.

this one is not adjustable, and it only uses 2 points on the strut tower to mount...
the seller is on the other side of the world. good luck on trying to get a refund or return... |

If you're looking for a bar that will actually work and hold up get an OEM M3 one.

For just a little bit more ($165 price range) you can get this carbon fiber strut bar from ECS tuning. Here is the link: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-325...t_Bar/ES10997/ I went this route and am quite pleased with the ease of install and quality of the product. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Are those ends white or silver? In any case they would look much better black.

it comes in black as well. I have one of these bars; mine have the silver ends...My car is TiAg, though, so it works. Looks pretty good in the engine bay and it didn't destroy my wallet.

Thanks for all the replies, I guess I will pass on this and find a used OEM bar.
The ECS one looks good too. |

My car had this one on it when I got it. It looks nice (not blue, silver brushed) but I cannot vouch for its performance enhancement since I've always used it. I probably wouldn't spend the money on it but since I've got it it's staying on!

I'd use that
anything without hinges or connection points is good

![]() You can get one, but you might pay either a lot for it or have trouble finding a used one. I really really really want one, but I keep telling myself there are more things I literally need to do to my car than find one of these. Sooooo tempting! Do strut bars actually make a noticeable difference in handling, or is it more a looks thing than anything? The BMW Performance bar really does look great. If you can't find a Performance strut bar, get an M3 one. I can guarantee you that you can find a used one for relatively cheap by scouring some of the various M3 forums across the 'net. |

The CF is sold out, but was dead sexy. The only issue I found with mine was that it was in the way (and troublesome to remove) of doing maintenance on the car from time to time.
Check out this aluminum BMW perfomance one: https://www.trademotion.com/partloca...gid=4462&tab=1 Looks easy to remove, is BMW quality/design and isn't too bad on price. |

Haha, I think somebody on this forum actually bought one of those overseas and brought it back or something. I've seen pictures of them on this forum before.
