soooooooooo you want a 3.64 diff then? Not a 3.46? Might be a good idea to make a thread with the right tittle bro...

edit: see you've already changed it good luck!
Maybe you need glasses,

it's always been 3;64,
I never was wanting a 3;46, if I wanted a 3;46 I could buy one locally for $185 and then use the guys lift to install it...

Spell Check should be your middle name Stephano,

titled not titles...

3;64 vs 3.64,
if you really knew your BMW's,
you would know that the old school way to write it is 3;46 as that is the way Germans write it or use to...
just like using mit instead of with....

the older BMW's have a stamped metal diff tag that is connected by one of the diff cover bolts...
if that number has an "S" before it, it means that it is Limited Slip, (S3;64)
if it does not, then it is an open diff...

Please send your email so that I can bill your education to your parents....

I really thought the e46 forum would be a little more mature
but it seems to be very simular to the e30 kiddies forum...

You guys are really starting to bore me
especially considering you both were wrong
and then stupid enough to attack me.

Grow up,
get over it,
I'm done with it....

Depends if you have a manual or auto, I just found this through google. It should help.

3.07 - 323i/ci (m), 330i/ci zph (m), 330cic/xi (m)

3.15 - 325i/ci (m)

3.23 - 325xi (m) - Very Rare to find in a salvage yard

3.38 - 330i/ci (a) - These are harder to find and usually cost more. (Non-US, also check 316/318/320)

3.46 - 323i/ci/cic/touring (a), 325i/ci/cic/touring (a), 328i/ci (a), 323i/ci (a), 323i/ci (a) - The most abundant and easiest ratio to find.

3.64 - Z4 2.5 (a) - Very Rare to Find in a salvage yard

3.64 - E46 M3 - You'll need addtional hardware to get it to fit.
