Mini S&P 500 Day traders

I am a day trader I use the Mini S&P 500 using the 3min bars. I am pretty new have not been doing it for years. I have hit a ruff spot and would like to get some advice.

The other week I made over 1100 but now I cant seem to make a dime.

I just have hit a bad spot and was looking for advise from active day traders trading the S&P 500.

Sense My retracements were not going as planed. Then my break out started to not work as planed either. So i went back to my retracements.

Wow okay thank you very much. All I want is some advice. You shouldn't even be posting in this tread if you have no clue what I am talking about.

It's a hard game to play, especially with all the intra day and weekly swings we have had. Look at a 1 year chart of the s&p 500, from dec 2010 to about the middle of feb 2011 we had a nice consistent up trend with postive economic headlines. Look at the chart now from march to current day, volatility has come back strong, it's hard to make money on the swings, when there is no certain direction.

Thank you. For me I do kinda like the volatility, It seems easier to get in and out of trades. The longest I am in a trade is probably 15min but usually I am in the trade from anywhere from 30 sec to 3mins to get my point or points.

How long do you hold your trade from and what kinda of stops are you using?

What trading software are you using also? I am going threw Global Futures but I'm using OEC Zen Trader. Do not like it as much as the Strategy Runner though.
