Question lowered '01 325i 18x9.5 staggered?

Hey everybody, I'm new to the site but a long time crepper, love what you guys are doing with your cars. I was hoping you can help me out or point me in the right direction.

This is my car currently

stock wheels (205/55/r16 tires)
lowered on raceland coils

The fronts never rub but the rears do from time to time if I hit a big enough bump

I'm looking to buy some Beyern mesh wheels and I was wondering if you guys think I'll be able to do a stagered setup without rubbing or rolling my fenders

The setup I'm looking at is:

18x8.5
18x9.5
235/40R18
265/35R18

I was also looking at doing a square set up:

17X8
225/45R17
245/40R17

But I think the staggered would look better

What do you guys think?

I have the same setup 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear, my tires are 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 and I'm dropped h&r sport I'm almost positive you will have alot of rubbing from the rear at 265 w/o fender roll. You also have to consider the offset of the rims.

Hard to say without knowing the offsets of the wheels you are considering.

if u are on stock wheels and rubbing, you are about to rub hard with aftermarket wheels.

you should be good, the rears can even have 5mm spacers if you want to flush it out with fender rolling. fronts should be okay.

Thank you, what about the front? did you have to use spacers up there too or did it just bolt on fine?

Yea those specs are good. But put that fact aside, because you are RUBBING on stockies. Those aftermarket wheels that are more aggressive will RUB. It seems like you are ignoring this. Just trying to help. Maybe whatever you are rubbing on can be trimmed off.

Thats a good plan, but I doubt you are rubbing your fender lips. It's got to be rubbing somewhere else, you have a 205 tire on a 7" wide et47. Remove a wheel and look in your rear fenders for rub marks if you have not already, both sides.

Thanks by the way
