it really is a hell of a deal, i was lookin to buy the catback.

The catback would probably fit your car, but the headers wouldnt because of the half shafts ( I think, maybe ask jeff on this one)

im here to tell you, I am never redoing the headers on my car. Way way way too much of a pain in the ass. And they really do look identical to the bimmerbrake ones. Oh, forgot to tell everyone, that header wrap works AMAZING! Definitely cooler engine after a long drive. Worth the money to spend on it

You can make any system fit an xi. You will just need to have a section where the pipes are bent a little more.

I may be selling mine when I get headers. I think I am buying those aa headers! He gave me his paypal and said he can ship them on friday!!

950 with adjustable height but non-adjustable damping vs. about ~750 for non adjustable height but adjustable damping with Koni yellows.

What do you value more? I'd do coilovers. FK is also a very reputable brand.

Well, I dont want it to be super slammed by any means, only drop it about an inch or so. Dont want a super stiff ride, but want better handling. And I know there isnt a ton of options for xi's as it is. Just dont know if its worth the extra $300 for coilovers.

If you care about ride then get coils.

Those FKs will not be super stiff by any means. Unless you have some knowledge on adjustable damping and/or are keen on sensing differences in damping rates, then having adjustable damping isn't really worth anything to a driver. Having adjustable ride height is phenomenal because you can change it (fairly easily if needed) anytime if you change your mind, want moar low, or even seasonally. And of course you can dial in that exact drop you want without hoping that fixed lowering springs like H&Rs are low enough or aren't too low.

On a different note, I really want to take my car to Hartland park this summer!! I just bought some new Zimmerman cast-holed rotors, new pads, and SS lines, waiting to be installed. Has anyone gone for track day yet?

what about tearing apart my axels, cv boots, etc?

What, from the lowering? Its all possible, I suppose, but If you only want to lower 1" from your current (XI) suspension, then you'll be fine

I took my car out, it was a blast. A whole bunch of us are going again June 22nd. You should go.

Thing is, xi's have a terrible week point with the front axles and cv joints. My cv joints are currently shot, Im replacing them within the next couple weeks. Need to find the right part for the right price. One of the main reasons that jay switched to rwd is because the front axles fail all the time, and I dont want to lower my car too much where mine would start failing constantly. And as you know, missouri has terrible roads so I dont want to bottom out or break something from being too low
