CA: All Les Baer .223 & .308 CA Compliant

I don't know how the rifles rate but LB 1911's are pretty well respected but expensive, heh.

LB rifles are VERY accurate. From what I've been reading on them over the past couple months, they make them with very exacting tolerances and match grade components. They're precision rifles for duty, target and hunting use. Not ideal for going to the range to dump 300rds in an hour.

$2350 is on the higher end of 5.56mm precision ARs. The rifle is basically a variation of the M16A4-DMR, but with more custom options. Under normal circumstances, I might try to point out other options for less money. To be honest, if Les Baer can make that rifle CA Compliant, then it's a pretty damn good deal.
The rifle is basically a DMR/SPR capable rifle, depending on how you configure it. I wouldn't be surprised if you could pull 0.5moa with it. You're basically paying for a custom made rifle. It's not just a "build", but rather a custom design and fabrication. Given Les Baer's reputation, I would say that it's a good rifle to buy if you want something accurate and reliable.
Just keep in mind that it's a precision rifle, so you're best off either working up your own match/target handloads, or else buying match ammunition in 75gr or 77gr configuration (Black Hills, Southwest Ammunition, Silver State Armory, Federal, Hornady, etc.). 1:8 twist will stabilize up to around 80gr VLD handloads, or 77gr SMKs for factory ammo. I would recommend shooting something between 69gr and 77gr.

Thanks as always Reedo, I figured they were on the higher-end of the spectrum. I'd probably want something a little "looser" that would fire everything and leave the match-grade realm to a potential bolt-action purchase.

Yeah, for more universal capability, you'll also spend a lot less money too.

If you're going to buy a precision .223/5.56, I always tell people to buy an AR. That's what the LB is good for. Bolt action .223s are a waste. If you want a precision rifle and a bolt action, then go with a heavier caliber like 6.5x47, 6.5Creedmoor, .308/7.62, .300Win Mag, or .338LM.

All their rifles have been listed as out of stock for at least the last couple of months that I've checked.

Get a Bravo (BCM) then.

I've got both and love them all.

The uppers you can get. The complete rifles are a bit spotty at times.
BCM are even harder to get. Their complete rifles, as well as lowers, are heavily backordered. Uppers are fine, though.
