spring suggestion from self experience guys

would a 325xi 2003 fit a a 330i s 2003 sport spring?

i went and bought some used 330i sport spring used...i didnt want to go with aftermarket... its oem sport spring im going to install them... ill let ya know how it feels...

Can you take pictures of the XI and RWD springs side-by-side?

If you brought both to a spring dyno to get tested I'd be your best friend.

get spring dyno? what u mean? if they can hold pressure? shiit.... i try closing and stepping on them... seems pretty tight....


very small tough....

so i changed my suspension... it looks pretty low.. i have the spring pictures....


but know i hear weird cracking. knocking noise... when im turning the car.... and sometimes on bumps... what could it be? how i check for failed SHOCKS? or it only could be REAR SHOCK MOUNT... what u guys think?

Failed shocks would be leaking oil. Pretty noticeable actually. Another way to check is to go to each corner of the car and push it down. If that corner bounces then it's most likely the shock. I would probably say the shock went depending on the miles. I just had my rear shock went and I'm at 105k miles.

Did you take your car for an alignment after the drop? A good alignment shop will look over all the suspension components to ensure everything is tight, still has life left and capable of holding the alignment.

Nah.

I think the oem Sachs are gas shocks, not oil filled.

Either way, they can definitely fail without showing an oil leak.

All gas shocks have oil.

Yea my rear leaked oil everywhere, it's a oem from what I can see.

i dont think my shocks or bad.... they feel good over bumps... but im trying change the fron SPRING -> and freaking lower screw that holds the strut on the bottom... does not want to come out... "freeze off" WD-40.... impact gun...


what else could i use to take it off?

Get some penetrating fluid. WD-40 is not going to get it off, you need liquid wrench or something of the sort.

When you get them out, be sure to use new ones. And use anti-seize.

Hit it with penetrating fluid then whack the area with a hammer to free up some rust. Use the impact wrench to get it out.

soooo yeaaa finally... i just did all for springs... lool... taking for alignment...


i just rly realized w out alignment... the car seems to roll around a lot... u feel as if the car is dancing on the road....

so i guess after i get the alignment done, i will feel much better? riight...
