Car won't start ? Help please?

ordered a new valet key today, will be here tomorrow. Tomorrow shall be the day .... i hope :/

Thanks as well to everyone who helped me with my situation. My valet key came in today, came right home and the car started right up!! So happy, crazy that a key can just die like that. Oh well, problem fixed, thanks guys!

OK, I used search and found this thread (out of many) that is close to my problem. But I don't think the key is the problem.

2003 325Ci Convertible Automatic

Had the #2 inspection a month or so ago and I was told at the time that my battery was in need of replacing, I said that I would wait to get that done.

So, a couple days ago, car cranked real slow, but turned over and I got to where I was going, got back in the car and cranked a little slow, but started right up. Next morning, no crank. All my lights and electronics work, hear the fuel pump...blah blah blah. figured, "geez I should have got that battery". SO, I did, got a replacement battery, and same result.

Read on here about the key problem, so I got my spare key (non valet) and same result. So, i don't think both keys died at the same time, and I do switch the keys periodically to keep them charged.


So, Why no crank all of a sudden? voltage is good 12.9, new battery.

thinking I need to have it towed, but hate to do it....

Thanks, I never got any replies on this post, so I started yet another....

Long story short, had my starter replaced and all is good now.
