Car got keyed :( What are my options?

Hi,

It's basically the whole left side, partial front left and rear left fender, and my door. It happened while I was out in the Sherman Oaks galleria watching Thor (never again).

My insurance will take care of it given I foot the $1k deductible. I had thought about purchasing the touch up paint kit from the stealership for $60 iirc.

What shops and prices am I looking around at socal that are cheaper/decent?

That sucks!

What type of insurance has a 1K deductible for Comprehensive? Want to make sure NEVER to have that insurance.

My co-pay for Comprehensive claims is $100 with Geico. Anything - Glass,Paint anything that was not collision based. I had a rock go through the back window of my Vert and it was 5K for a new top and rear glass from BMW and Geico had everything replaced and I paid $100.

Check with your insurance again and just ask them what is your Comprehensive deductible. If they say less than 1K then that is what you should be paying.

people suck, I had someone slam their door repeatedly into the side of my car. Mine was the only car in the lot and as I walked out of the store, the other car took off.

KARMA!!

that sucks. i always thought that lot was safe too. Who does that kinda SH

Thats why I want to avoid sherman oaks. it's the new van nuys. i'm sticking to AMC woodland hills from now on... though I know you're not safe anywhere.

Im not sure how well this would work on cars being keyed (how badly it is) but works great with rock chips.. http://www.drcolorchip.com/
