I'm sure some of you may have seen this...

I'm wondering if some of you guys can comment if the suggestions in the video are still accurate and what's not(with regards to what is taught today)...

Yeah, it does.

I used to shoot garands in service rifle and 3 position high power competitions. Those styes are pretty much shot on for what I was using a couple years ago. Same positions, same slings, same rifles....

basic leather sling, note the newer video explains more but its the same basic stance.

The USGI web sling is a good starter rig.
