You have to be careful with white - it will get dirty, and can bleed through depending on the material.

Good luck, take a look online, as well as the stores in your area.

^^ looks pretty good to go with the interior......id just do the area around the shift knob....looks really out of place imo.
Good work tho! Looks pretty clean.

I agree - do the plastic around the shift knob, but be very careful as you go as its kind of tricky.

Glad to know that even a year after the car is gone, these writeups are doing some good.

Just did my 2001 330 yesterday, following your DIY instructions pretty exactly... came out phenom - first car wash I went to, the attendant noticed immediately and raved about it. ![]() Really a great way to personalize, and I hope it holds up. The only really tricky thing about this was the shift boot bezel... took a few tries with the fabric, and also some filing around the window control openings. Other than that, things went together in a matter of a few hours. My husband loves it, too, but his e36 has no wood/plastic trim, so we're thinking of doing the headliner in that. Anyway, lots of fun. Here's some pics of the final product... thanks again for the write up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
