Tint

I got in my car the other day and after it being beaten on by the sun that sits in front of my house for about 13 hours i noticed some of my cds were melting! My car is like a dark blue steal grey looking color and it has factory tinted windows witch are pretty much clear. I was wondering, how dark should i go? i was thinking 20% on the back and sides but i dont know how dark that actually looks. i dont want it completely blacked out because of cops but i want it dark enough so i can also tint my windshield like 70% with out them even thinking its tinted ... any suggestions?

I have 15%. It's not too dark. I can still see into the car from the outside very easily.

Haven't even heard of 70% tint. Leave your windshield alone, add a strip at the top if anything (see sig). Sunglasses also help.
And don't do 5% limo black on anything, its way too dark at night.

I have 15% on my SHO and love it!! I plan on doing the same to my 328i soon as I get a good paycheck.

i did limo all the way around with an eyebrow that landed just below the bottom of the rear view mirror (pretty big). i can see just fine at night. i think 5s make the car look great and it stays cool on the inside in the texas heat. another great thing is that i no longer have to wear sunglasses in my car. there are so many great things about dark tint i could list. just dont go lighter than 15s

i started off with a light shade all the way around and then slowly stated going darker and darker because i would get used to the tint. in my sig i have 5% on all the windows and 45% on the windshield.
