323iM?

So last week, I drove over a miniature boulder in my 2000 323i.. Due to the fact that there was absolutely no body damage done to the car but the engine and tranny and radiator are totally ruined I have decided to keep it and do an engine swap. I have been looking at S54 engines because of my infatuation with M3's. My question is will a S54 engine out of an m3 fit into my 323i without modifications to the car

I think a lot has to be done...like guages and differentials and stuff like that...I think I read somewhere and people said its cheaper to just buy an m3...I've searched that up a while back...try searching

Wait.... You drove over, a miniature boulder. Absolutely no body damage, but tranny and engine are both ruined. Wat

Also, you'd be better off just buying an M instead of doing the swap.

Haha I understand the confusion, all my friends were baffled until I showed them the location, ther rocks are dug into the ground some and the street sits higher than the grass, my car tire slipped off and landed on top of it perfectly.

Any more info?? I'm surprised it's destroyed without any other damage, sounds pretty serious. Have you taken it to a mechanic, or are you just trying to find a way to get an M engine in your whip

Nope took it to a mechanic and it landed perfectly on the trans. He could see where the impact was. then drug down and managed to grab and snap my serpentine belt. and I tried getting off the rock by driving it and did some major problems to the engine. and lastly the mechanic told me a whole was punctured in my radiator, either from a piece of the rock or something and my engine probably over heated when I was trying to move it off the rock.

A 2JZ swap would probably be easier... someone said they did it here in Atlanta for $3k. Do a search
