Didn't they tell you last time that you only had to have a DL. I would call.

What do you mean by insurance, for on track? I don't think they (HPT) provide any. I know that a company called Lockton does HPDE insurance but not sure if they do open track days.

LOL, for some reason a completely stock e46 M3 tried to hang with me. From a twenty roll I had him by 8-10 cars to 90.

I don't think they do either. SCCA provides insurance (if your an SCCA member) for everything but damage to your own car.

Saw Lockton, but I don't think it covers medical, just the car, and yeah just on DE's.

I remember my dad's friend was covered for some track stuff by state farm, but that was a long time ago. Should probably talk to him again.

Technically, my insurance policy covers anything that's not racing or in preparation for racing. But, they've decided to tell us that a DE would be considered racing because its on a racing track - not sure how this would hold up in a lawsuit

(can't you tell I love talking about insurance :unamused: )

Yeah I think you're gonna be out of luck with State Farm, that's who I've had and I've spoken with them about the bike and the car. As soon as you hit the track you are not covered.

Anyone want to make a road trip to Safe Racer with me some weekend. Its a place in Neosho, Mo. that stock a ton of race related stuff from Hans devices, seats, helmets, suits, etc., etc. Just about everything you can think off.

I'm planning on picking up a Hans device and new helmet along with a new drivers seat that has head protection.
