steering question.

Hi guys,

I have 18" with run flat tires and sports suspension.

After I replaced wither tires to Potenza run flat tires, steering become so sensitive.
When I go little bump or if ground has little angle, steering turn to left or right as angled street direction.
Sometimes, when I drive on freeway, it doesn't feel very confident.

Is it normal? or is there something wrong my wheel alignment?

thanks.

I would take her into your local auto center, get her aligned, and her tires balanced.

^ that is a good place to start - however it's a good idea to be aware that some tires are just prone to bump steer and tracking.

For example my 18 inch goodyear f 1 all seasons that I had on my the zhp were a horrible bump steer tracking tire.

When I changed to a new set of tires the problems totally disappeared

thank you.

I shouldn't get these Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RTF tires.
I didn't have any problems with snow tires.

By the way, what are good tires to use front? I think I may keep rear tires to save some money but I better change front.

Run flat tires stink.

1. They leak like crazy
2. They ride stiff like you wouldn't believe
3. They dart all over the place
4. They cost twice as much

I say get the Bridgestone RE050. They were the best tires I ever had. I got the Re760 and they lasted half the milage even though they were rated to last twice as long

Hi,

I want to update my steering and want to share my experience with you guys.
Today I replace my front tires to 'Falken Ziex ZE-912', I know that tire is not the best but price was a very good.
After I changed the tires, man my steering felt very different from before. It was day and night.

I had very sensitive steering(AKA bump steer) and very unsafe to drive rough highway or freeway.( I had to hold both my hans on steering)
I was almost replace a steering rack as well but since my tires are worn out, I try to change them first.
After It replaced, I drove 91 freeway which is very rough.
The first thing I notice was I don't have bump steer and riding feels a lot comfortable.
And less noise.

But it doesn't feel my steering is loose, I have 18"(225/40/18)
My point is 18" with run flat tires are not very good combination.

Thank you again guys who gave me an advice of tires.
