My Ride: Cheese smellin' feet
I would like to get rid of a bad habit I have : To force others to do what I do.

I quited smoking, I 'forced' buddies to do the same.(In a vicious manner by showing them pictures of grey lungs)

I am on diet. I lost 60lbs and I'm so proud. To reach that goal I had to forget the pleasure to eat Junk food. In fact I discovered that Healthy food is better.

So I can't tolerate other people to continue to do what I forced myself to not do anymore.

So this "theard" makes me angry and I want to ban Junk Food from planet earth.

According to my mother, It's an attitude based on Selfish, immaturity, lack of self confidence and ridiculous self esteem.

She often facepalms at me saying "When I think that people like you ruled countries for decades...."

Fast food is America's new crack. Everyone (myself included) knows how bad it is for them and still we continue to eat it(again, myself included).

But yes five guys is pretty good. I'd love to try in-n-out. I've never heard anyone say they didn't like in-n-out.

I totally and completely disagree. I ate at 5 Guys once and was left feeling unimpressed. S'n'S comes out on top, for me.

Way too soggy from the peanut oil which doesn't cook them well enough, and the seasoning is excessive which just kills it. Peanuts while you wait is a awesome idea!

Cool place! Great burgers, but I still prefer In n Out or the Habit mostly because it's cheaper and have better fries and faster service.
I feel bad for people who fall for the whole kobe beef burger scam

New, Sense when? The mid 90's?

fast food and obesity have been huge problems for america for a long time. Do I think they need attention, no... but some will argue major changes need to be put into action.

My Ride: What else?
So I found out (to my surprise) that there's a Five Guys not too far from me, and last night we decided to check it out....

what's all the fuss about this place? I thought it was overpriced, and rather bland...even their fries sucked.

plus I was a bit annoyed that their "hamburger" is actually a "double" (didn't realize this till I ordered).

I really don't eat fast food, but every once in a while I allow myself to cheat with a burger, and I honestly feel like I wasted my "cheat meal" (not to mention my $$)

Next time I will just go back to McDonalds or even Whattaburger

meh... good burgers, but i think the fries absolutely suck... burnt peanut oil and over seasoned, shitty texture, no crisp, nada

if i'm up for a burger, i would definitely prefer 5 guys to the typical fast food place, however if i want fries, this is the last place i am going...

Really depends on the 5 Guys. I go to one, and it was the 1st one I ever went to and it was fabulous. Been there 5 x every meal was perfect. Went to one closer to my home in Boardman, Ohio and it was horrible. Unfortunately, I took my family because I talked up the place so much.....they were not impressed...Nor was I.

Oh, the fantastic one is in Meadville, PA.

I do like the fact they they use 100% beef, unlike Mcd's "mystery meat", so that's a plus for them.

How can a burger joint not have good fries though?

Fries are more about the prep than it is the cooking, IMO. What kind of potatoes do they use? Do they soak them in water for 24 hours before? Do they fry them 1 time to cook, 2nd time to crisp? Do they over season them?

1. No idea what potatoes they use
2. Probably not
3. Pretty sure they don't
4. Hell goddamn yes, how much salt do you think these poor things need?

I love it. And I always thought it reasonably priced but I'm in a major metropolitan area so maybe my price expectations are way skewed.
