Been On For Years but first post...couple of questions on mods

Hi everyone, i've been a member for a long time but this is my first post. I have a 2001 325i, with 118,000 miles on it. Bought it in 2007 will be paid off next year Jan, it's my third BMW, the others were sold or traded in for other vehicles which i no longer have. I wanna keep this one and mod it, the interior trim coming apart is driving me crazy. I order clips for the interior molding which I'm thinking of having carbon fiber wrapped. I have a good mechanic that takes great care of the car, and anyone knows once you have a good mechanic he's like his weight in gold. My main question is I washed my car and the was putting the back to black on the black trim, then I pulled one off and the clips crumbled in my hand. So needless to say i ordered more clips from Pelican parts. Is there a thread on here about painting the the black trim glossy and clear coating it. Any help would be great. I love looking at everyone's awesome looking cars. Also should I do a stereo upgrade or just the Ipod adapter. Thanks guys for all the help. I will post pics of my car in a bit.
