Is QE3 in the works?
I am almost certain it HAS to happen.
By QE I am referring to large scale asset purchases we saw by the gov to help boost markets. Like we have been seeing over the past few years. a good quote taken from another forum. "If the choice is between (a) QE3, and (b) a total deflationary collapse of unprecedented dimensions, Ben will go with QE3." http://www.zerohedge.com/article/ric...est-depression

Yes, QE3 is a possible action in the future, so is no new stimulus and instead raising interest rates as well as the possibility of the fed doing nothing. Yep, they are considering options for various potential scenarios in the future. If that constitutes "in the works" then QE3 is in the works, no QE3 is in the works, raising interest rates is in the works, not raising interest rates is in the works, and pretty much everything else is also in the works.

Dow 10k before QE3. Bernanke needs to shut his fvcking mouth until something catastrophic happens. The markets are inefficient with him giving a new sound byte every three days.

It's clear Bernanke will do anything in his power to fight deflation. But realistically, QE3 is just another tool to artificially lift equities higher. So many hedge funds were long solely because of QE2.

QE3 will not happen. Needs congressional approval now, with republicans in control of the house, not gonna happen.
