My Ride: 2002 325i
aluminum or chrome gauge???

Hey guys.. I want to add a new look to my cluster but not sure if to go with aluminum or chrome gauge - thoughts on what looks better? any pics?

My ride: 2002 325i - red.

Finally got my windows tinted today! already looking better... She's been stock for many years!

Recent upgrades:

Smoked tail lights, side blinkers and turn signals.
LED interior lights
LED angel lights
Black and white BWM roudels
TINTED WINDOWS 35% all around

Ordering an all black grill today and LED bulbs for turn signals, back up and side blinkers..

Next... some new shoes for her

i would personally go with Aluminum, i think thats how they come stock on the 3 series models that do have them, plus ive seen the chrome ones and they look cheap.

get the aluminum gauge rings. The chrome ones look cheap and are too reflective/distracting

Heres a pic of my silver gauge rings, love the look. I wouldn't go with the chrome, looks trashy is you ask me or like you're trying to hard. I also did the red needle DIY while I was in there.
Did you get just the LED bulbs? The reason I ask is because some of them will give you bulb out errors.

My Ride: makes my pants tight
+1 on aluminum. Fits the stock look better than the chrome...looks good.

Thanks for the feedback and pics! Aluminum it is.

San - I've had the LED's for a few months now and no errors. Also, did you use a red sharpie for the needle? Looks nice.

Glad to hear you have no error codes and yes I used a red sharpie, gotta go over it a few times to give it a nice look without having those ugly marker strips. I just gave them a few coats let them sit for a few minutes then reapplied the sharpie for the final coat and they came out great.

i had the early chrome ones, was very happy when they came out with the silver. silver looks so much better. a modern sporty
