Engine Shaking and Brake Lurching

The never-ending problem list goes on and now we just can't figure it out.

The car was shaking pretty violently at one point, so we changed out the MAF, and that seemed to subside 90% of the problem but the engine still slightly shakes at idle. Not a huge immediate concern, but still a concern nonetheless.

A more pressing issue is, that we also got the control arms replaced with the bushings. Soon after that though, I've noticed that when braking the entire front axle seems to feel disconnected from the car and stays put while the entire car lurches forward. Feels like a pronounced clicking. Been told it could be the "axle" and its a common problem, but could it be due to the recent control arm replacement?
