Experiance is not requred. The idea is to drive your own car. You'll need jeans and a snell rated helmet.
My stance on the experiance thing is its not a bad idea to try just one track day before you go for a full out DE. It may depend on your instructor, but you may be pushed at a DE. Not a big deal if you've not been out though, that's the idea. To learn!

Gotcha, so you're saying a track day might be beneficial before trying an actual DE(driving experience?). I guess that makes sense....

I thought DE stands for drivers ed.
IDK, tbh. I've only done 2 track days You would be fine going to a DE with no prior experiance.

Edit: How can you recommend one thing or another is better when you haven't experienced both. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. So why practice something that you've never done before.

Thanks for the input Brad!
I think I need brakes, but i've got time to put new ones on before hitting the track I guess. I dont think i'd be driving that hard my first time out anyways. |

So my next question is how does the pricing work?
2 Day Student Registration is only $289! 3 Day Student (Pre-Approved only) is $379. Instructors are $119 and include a free shirt. Does that mean I pay 289 for the track time, and then an extra 119 to have an instructor? |

I know the BMW one doesn't for sure but I'm not sure about the Porche DE, I know the Porche club allows boxsters.

I couldn't believe how steep of a learning curve I was on when I went out on course for the first time with an instructor. It's super important not to compare yourself to others or you might not have fun. I'm doing the hallet de with brad, I'll be in my "stanced" 323ci, but I'm still gonna have fun.

I may be going, I may not. I have to decide what's a bigger priority, gears or DE? Plus, I have to drive all that way without window which will suck if it rains. I'm trying to get a truck and trailor from work. I have no idea. Let me try and find out. The M3 has the same type of roll bar, it is hidden beneath the rear head rests.
