LS2 FTW. You can't go wrong with that. Just re-enforce the sub-frame.

one question: how'd you change the front side corners to the coupe corners? is yours a face lifted or a pre facelift sedan because I know neither of the corners for them look like that

TekNoire7 . do you mean the fenders? because the fenders are made of the OEM Sedans Fender and the other front half of the M3's, this makes the car wider, also you need to change the bumper reinforce and brackets, all the lower inner plastics.

Looks pretty good, I would do forced induction S54 rather than the V8. That way you can do it in stages too. There is a thread with the e9x V8 in the e46 chassis (not many technical details the guy let the shop do most of the work). It looked way to complicated to me.

The epicness, or lack thereof, regarding this build can only be measured by what motor you're going to drop into it.

I'm surprised how few flamers there are on this thread. Aww, E46Fanatics is growing up!
Looks good OP. Hope one day you'll go through with the engine swap. If your wallet is bottomless, the sky is the limit. |

All this just to save the gas guzzler tax in the states? To build a false m3?

Since BMW never made an E46 M3 sedan, most enthusiasts won't be confusing it with the real thing. Therefore, I don't see it as a fake M3. Nice work OP.

Since its been hit by the front causing a salvage title, its a risk buying that motor. Personally if you are putting the effort to put in an engine, just throw in an american v8. muuuuch easier to work with

Actually looks quite good! New wheels, a drop, and OEM m3 mirrors would really set it off on top of the hood!
Also, how does the stock m3 exhaust sound compared to your 325i exhaust? I was thinking of doing a custom setup on my 330 with headers. Got any vids?
