Thinking about ditching COD for the BattleField series... I hear that the online play is really different. People are more serious on BattleField and not many noobs like on COD. Truth?

Yes, it is. The game is more tactical. N00bs stick out like a sore thumb (running down roads, standing in fields firing).

Most players are good, some great. There are some spas campers in this one, but the worlds are so huge, and squad spawning helps.

Take my word for it. BF BC2 is a great game. I would buy it now (new with all things for $40) and prepare for BF3.

Cool, that's just what I'm looking for. How is BFBC2 in terms of cheaters/hackers?

Battlefield is much more strategic. Working with a small squad dramatically improve your chances of success. It's not just run and gun with noobs jumping all over the place. You need to think about how you're going to assault the objective, how to properly defend choke points, etc. It's frustrating at times to play against good players, but very rewarding when you succeed.

As usual there are hackers on PC version, rarely any on console versions. With tactical play style aimbots etc has lesser impact on overall game play.
