I think you guys talked me out of it.
The G IMO is a better looking car, but I felt like I was cheating on my girlfriend lol. Just a bad thought, I think I'll be sticking with my e46, hopefully I can keep thoughts of the G35 out of my mind. I was really impressed with the 07, but that's probably why I've never been impressed as much with others I've ridden in. Thanks! |

Save up for a Porsche. Aim your sights high. Japanese cars honestly are not upgrade from a e46. No matter how fast it is.

Are you mad OP. Because you test drove an 07 you are basing that to buy an 03!? That is like me test driving a 2012 M5 F10 and then deciding to sell my 330i for a 1989 Geo Metro expecting to get the same car as the 2012!!!!

A BMW cannot be compared to a Nissan with some topings.

My friend recently was in the market to buy a G35 coupe. He was looking to spend 20k on it. Pretty much all of the ones we test drove the gears seemed like they were going out. This one would hardly go into first, pretty much had to force it in there. He ended up finding a good one (not in my opinion, in his) but it cost him 22k. Worth it? Um, no. In every way it is worse than my 330ci (except for straight line acceleration). Steering is numb, clutch is heavy, its noisy, no back seat head room at all (Im only 5:7), no trunk space, VERY poor visibility, if you are stuck in the back aside from getting a concussion every time you hit a bump, you will be burned to death by the sun because the back window goes too far up. The front seats seem unsupportive and do not hug you body, the stereo really isn't that good (just because its bose does not automatically make it good). The interior also is made from cheap feeling materials and the front cup holders aren't very good.
Plenty of things to hate, a few things to like. In a straight line its quick, the moon roof is quiet when it is on tilt and the exhaust makes a nice sound when accelerating hard. Just imagine what a nice m3 he could have got...... |

^ considering my M3 was listed for 23k when I bought it 6 months ago... Yea he could've done a lot better. I didn't really haggle on the m3 either since I traded my ZHP + cash for it (we just used the differences in kbb)

That beautiful sound you are talking about gets annoying at cruising speeds. A BMW is a performance car, a G35 is not. Not to mention, the pre-facelift g35 03-04 is just hideous inside. If you want to get out of your E46, buy a EVO or something.
