The only time it would be of any use was if someone in another vehicle was chasing you with intent. You could then push the button and jettison the roof completely. It would land on the windscreen of your pursuer, blinding them. They would then lose control & crash. You would then make good your escape. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

Newbie to the forum, and to the cars, really. But, thought I'd just toss in a couple of pics that I posted on the new member thread.


As for dropping the top when the raindrops come, I've found it's fairly easy to do it at a red light or just pull over to the side and do it. It will go up or down at about 10-
15mph speed +/-, but it's quick so just stop and put it up. The newer hard tops can work at higher speeds (up to 40ish IIRC), or so they are advertised.

Even though they might be able to operate at that speed, i wouldn't risk trying it. Like you said just pull over and do it, doesn't take long at all. No use in trying it and you gotta pay mega bucks to fix something that would have taken less than a couple of minutes to do
