I compared the euro2 to euro3 files, and I can see where the euro3 has deleted past cat 02 sensor monitoring. But if I compare the euro tunes to US tunes the data is too much different to the point that you can't see much similarities.
As for the 60kb file size, only thing it needs is rest of the bin file to be filled with FF values until it reaches 64kb size and should be flashable with galletto1260 tool. TerraPhantm can you tell me what cable works so I can buy it on ebay? |

It is strictly for 99-2006 BMW iirc. Terra might know If the k+dcan interfaces can be used to flash e46 DME. However the interface I posted is the cheapest of them all.

Also,
It would be worth a shot to edit the .0da files with the modified tuner pro hex code an try to code it through winkfp. It might work and may allow for custom tunning without the need of a bench flash. What could we alter to test that it worked? Perhaps modify the vanos timing so that fully advances at a certian rpm. Or set the rev limiter to 5k rpm. Hmmm

But I heard that this will make the OBD2 monitoring go into "system not ready" at Arizona state emissions testing? I would be interested in something like removing cats and air pump and still pass emissions testing. |

Basically the equivalent of our "OBDI" Unlike aftermarket tunes, the Euro 3 and Euro2 tunes don't set the monitors to "not ready"; they set them to "not applicable" (much like the EGR monitor on stock E46s; it'll look like those components weren't fitted from the factory). Most states books say that a monitor that says "not applicable" doesn't cause failure, BUT the catalytic converters showing as n/a might raise a few red flags. One issue with the Euro 2 tune for US purposes is that it disables the Key-on-Engine-off CEL, which is required in most (if not all) states to pass inspections. I'm not familiar with carsoft nor pa soft. Swap ecu should do it. If not look for a ews/DME alignment option.
