I have a question. I still have my halogen headlights. I got depo brand headlights on the car but the part that adjust the headlight is broken making my light aim towards the tree.can I switch over the projector to my halogen and make it work like this?

All my pictures are silver shrouds and original reflector housings. Check them out on page 5 I think.
@JEL: Switch back to the Halogens with the working adjusters and do this retrofit. These need to be aimed correctly in order to see (because of the cutoff) and not to blind oncoming drivers.

I have a question. I'll be doing this DIY once I order the parts (friday) and was wondering how you guys got the HID kit bulbs to stay in the projectors? I already have an HID kit so don't wanna order another. The thing about them is they look just like the ones you can get from DDM, they have no real way of mounting them to anything, just a black rubber that comes off the bulbs.

The Morimotos come with retaining clips to hold the bulb in.

Thanks for the response. Can't wait to see what these will do for the appearance of the front end.

OP - You said the setup looks "somewhat ghetto". How different is it from the oem?
Thanks

I'm planning to go with this setup since I have Halogens in my car,
how about buying the whole set from THE RETROFIT, does it need any thing to change or to add? Or just buy it as it's and everthing will fit fine? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=227 Mr. xi where did you purchase your angel eyes? ( Are they CCFL OR LEDS? )

Wiring Diagram
For those who have done the Morimoto retrofit DIY, can you post a diagram or write-up of how you connected everything together with the wiring harness? Thanks!

My wiring harness has five connections: a + connection; a - ground, a connection to each ballast; and a fifth connection that I assume has to connect to one of the car's existing low beam bulb connection.
Also, to make the bi-xenon feature function, there are two leads coming from each projector - I assume these two leads tap into the + and - leads for the car's high beams. If anyone can advise that would be greatly appreciated!

Install of the Morimoto D2S retrofit kit from TRS is complete using my best guess for the wiring connections, as stated in my prior post. Good news is full functionality. Project took 6 hours. Had to dremel the existing halogen bulb opening from one inch diameter to 1 and 5/16 inch.
Only glitches are: (1) the wiring harness supplied by TRS has 5 connections: positive, ground, left ballast, right ballast, and the last one to connect to one of the car's low beam connectors. Because one low beam connector is now - after the install - not connected to anything, I have a bulb out light for the missing connector side. (2) there was absolutely nothing for the E46R shroud to connect to in the projector. And, the puny little tabs on them easily break off. Waiting for dark to see how they look. Will post some pix on Monday.

Went to the Indy shop today and they did a complimentary LCM reflash for the bi-xenons. The bulb out light for the unconnected low beam connector went away and the headlight flicker went away.
Went to re-aim the xenons and the outboard right side headlight adjuster (the one that moves the beam right to left) broke off. Will post a write-up and pix tomorrow.
